There are three things I talk to any potential client about that I think are THE MOST important when you’re choosing your Ottawa Boudoir Photographer… And I’m going to let you in on it!

1. Do you like their Style?
This is probably the first thing that will draw you to your boudoir photographer. At least if you met them on their website and not in person.
The last thing you want is to book your boudoir experience with only the other 2/3 of the things on this page and NOT this one. Why bother even going or spending the money at all? If you don’t like their style, I promise you… Your images aren’t going to be something you’ll get excited to look at over and over again.

In case you haven’t noticed, my style as an Ottawa Boudoir Photographer is incredibly dark and moody. I aim to provide sultry and classy images to my clients that you’ll want to look back on for a lifetime. I’ll carve out your curves in the shadows and highlight your favourite features with the glowy morning light.
And truly, if that’s not your cup of tea, and not what you want, please, look for someone who has it. After reading the rest of this blog post, because there’s some important stuff below. But my clients choose me because my style reflects themselves. They feel sexy and mysterious, yet classy and still elegant when they look at their photos. Even if their products are a gift to their spouse/partner, they WANT to put their images on the wall. They want to look at their images every. damn. day… So, style is important. You will find an Ottawa boudoir photographer who does it how you want it done!

2. How do they make you feel?
I’ll say this is definitely THE MOST important one. If you take nothing else from this blog post, take this. Seriously.
I mentioned before about wanting to look back on your images, but what you may not realize is that when you do, you’re not just looking at an image. You’re immersing yourself back into the experience.
The goal with an Ottawa boudoir photoshoot is to step into your sexiness, and to gain the confidence. This is super intimate. It’s very vulnerable… and it can be terrifying. Even more if the photographer you chose didn’t give you the warm and fuzzy feelings, but the opposite.. the ick…
Every single one of my clients has a (free) consultation call with me prior to booking. (Wanna book one? Do it HERE) And if either one of us don’t feel like it’s a good fit, guess what? We don’t book the session. Period. The last thing I want is anyone walking out of my Ottawa Boudoir Studio feeling anything less than a goddess. No icky feeling, no discomfort, no regrets.
If the photographer you’re looking into booking is giving you any reason for pause, any little warning bell in the back of your head, find someone else. Like I said, boudoir sessions are intimate and vulnerable. If you’re uncomfortable YOU WILL SEE IT when you look at your images, and honestly, you’ll feel it again every time you do.

3. Are they in your budget?
This one is a no brainer, but an important one. Nobody is in business to break anyone’s bank account… Or at least I’d hope not.
But something you’ve got to keep in mind is that the boudoir experience is an investment. Especially if you’re working with a luxury Ottawa boudoir photographer. It’s not cheap.
When you work with a full service Ottawa Boudoir Photographer like me, you’re get your hair and makeup done prior to your session, you have access to my entire size inclusive client closet to choose from, you get luxurious, lifetime products that are completely designed by me. (HERE is a bit more about the experience if you’re curious). So these are things you don’t have to consider spending outside of the session budget.

But all that being said, it can get expensive. It’s important to really think about your price point and how much you’re willing to invest, and find a photographer who can work with it.
When you book me as your Ottawa boudoir photographer, there are a number of options for you that can help you work within your budget. (Let’s BOOK A CALL and talk some more about it)
All of my image collections are flexible and can be tailored to your needs, or we can throw them all away and just put together an a la carte order for you!
You can also choose to pre-pay for your products and images ahead of time, breaking up your total into monthly payments leading up to your session as a way to ease the hit on your bank account. When you do this, you’ll also get to unlock special BONUS SETS to add to your session!

Anyway, I hope this helps you. Even if you don’t choose me as your Ottawa Boudoir Photographer, I hope that this post helps you choose the right fit for you!
